"Dr. Cam is a licensed Doctor of Acupuncture (Dr. Ac) and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCMD). He has spent many years treating patients with injuries, chronic pain, and various other ailments. He uses Acupuncture, Cupping, Moxibustion, and Chinese herbal medicine to safely and effectively bring the patient back to a balanced state of health.
While in University, Doctor Cam had lingering pain from a sports injury and was recommended to try acupuncture. He experienced first-hand the immediate pain relief and the healing ability of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Dr. Cam was hooked and started investigating Traditional Chinese Medicine and its theory.
Doctor Cam moved to Nelson, B.C., to study at the Academy of Classical Oriental Sciences. After obtaining his Doctorate in 2005, he went on to apprentice with different Acupuncture and Herbal Masters in Western Canada. Along the way, Doctor Cam also taught courses at the Calgary College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and worked as an Acupuncturist on cruise ships. Dr. Cam practiced in Quito, Ecuador for the last decade and in 2023, decided to move back to Canada.
Dr. Cam strongly believes in integrative medicine and works alongside Massage Therapists, Chiropractors, Physiotherapists, and MDs to comprehensively ensure the best treatment approaches for his patients."
Dr Stephanie Konelsky TCMD, RAc
Years of competitive sport left me with a back injury that seemed unfix-able despite nearly three years of various therapies. Two acupuncture treatments later I was completely out of pain. How could a few tiny needles make so much difference? This question propelled my training and future career in traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture.
I graduated from the Academy of Classical Oriental Sciences in Nelson, British Columbia, from the five-year full-time program in 2005. After an extensive internship at Evergreen Acupuncture with the late Dr. David Chu, I embarked on private practice in central Alberta for two years and then overseas for twelve years. With a passion for herbal medicine, I've been involved in formula creation and manufacture for an independent pharmacy label in Australia. I continue to develop professionally and I am currently completing my training in bioelectric medicine. Please see steffiekacupuncture.com for more information.
